Sonia is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy comprehensive RMT program (2014), and the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage spa therapy program (2010). Growing up, she was a competitive gymnast, and knows first hand the benefits of massage therapy for strength, performance and recovery. As a bodyworker in the spa industry, she practised many modalities for relaxation and stress relief, including shiatsu, aromatherapy and reflexology. She wanted to build more on her knowledge of the therapeutic technique and human anatomy, and decided to take the next step and become an RMT. She enjoys applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the program in her practice. Focusing on rehabilitative massage, Sonia uses a wide variety of techniques in treatment, including- but not limited to; trigger point therapy; contractile myofascial release; joint mobilizations; active stretching, hot stone therapy and Swedish massage. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal levels of health and wellness in their life through assessment and treatment tailored to their specific needs. She believes in a whole body approach to treatment and relaxation.
