Scott McCullough graduated from University of Toronto in Physical and Health Education and completed a post graduate certificate in Sports Injury Management from Sheridan College. He was certified as an Athletic Therapist in 1996 and has been treating professional athletes for the past 28 years. Scott has worked for the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies and for the past 17 years has served as the Toronto Raptors’ Head Athletic Therapist. Scott received his Master’s of Science (Human Movement) from AT Still University in 2010. Scott was inspired to become an Athletic Therapist after injuring his knee, while playing volleyball at the University of Toronto. He was drawn to the enjoyment and interactions between the patients and the therapists as well as assessment and treatment of sports injuries. His passion for overall health and fitness, along with the desire to work in professional sports led him down the pathway of becoming a certified athletic therapist. Scott enjoys and takes great pride in educating his patients about their injuries and developing the program to help them return to life/sport stronger and healthier. Scott uses a full body approach to treating all injuries. His expertise in assessment of poor movement patterns, provides the ability to treat the specific injury locally while training the entire body. He has specialized training in corrective exercises and performance enhancement from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Scott has also completed courses in Mulligan mobilizations, Graston massage techniques, Kinesiology taping and continues to participate in Continuing Education Courses. During the offseason, he routinely performs speeches at Sports Medicine Conferences which include sports medicine doctors, athletic therapists, physical therapists and personal trainers. Scott is a certified member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association, Ontario Athletic Therapists’ Association and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. During his 28 years in professional sports, Scott was chosen as the Eastern Conference NBA All Star Head Athletic Therapist on 3 occasions (2011/2016/2023) and was an integral member of the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 NBA Championship Team.
