Danyel helps people living with complex and persistent pain regain confidence in their bodies, understand their pain and healing patterns, and actively participate in their recovery. He takes a whole-person, evidence-informed approach by combining physiotherapy, pain neuroscience education, hypnosis, exercise therapy, mindfulness, breathwork, and cognitive-behavioural strategies to create personalized treatment plans that truly work for each individual. He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy in 2012. Danyel spent 8 years in New Zealand where he ran his own private practice focused on persistent pain management. He also taught Pain Neuroscience Education and Medical Hypnosis to health professionals and people experiencing pain across New Zealand before relocating to Penticton in 2023. His clinical perspective is informed by personal experience living with melorheostosis (a rare connective tissue disorder) and haemochromatosis, which deepened his understanding of movement, rehabilitation, and the mind-body connection. Outside of the clinic Danyel enjoys spending time outdoors with his young family, the field of bubbleology, and teaching Haidong Gumdo, a traditional Korean sword martial art.
