Dr. Carla Donatelli is a Burlington native and received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph. Upon graduation she moved to Davenport, Iowa where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. She had the opportunity to obtain a work visa temporarily and her love for the outdoors and skiing brought her to Salt Lake City, Utah. Here, she practised in an evidenced-based, multidisciplinary clinic and was able to treat a wide variety of patients from infants and children to sport injuries and veterans. Dr. Donatelli was introduced to chiropractic early in her life, after her grandfather suffered from a stroke and lost function of the left side of his body. It was after watching the chiropractor work on her grandfather every Sunday afternoon, that she saw how drastically her grandfather’s function and health improved again. This experience helped her to understand the importance of health and balance in the body and how chiropractic can help to achieve this. Her goal as a chiropractor is to not only make her patients feel better, but to also help them to understand the reasons why their pain occurred in the first place. Her goal is to empower her patients to take control of their health and recovery, know their strengths and limitations, and become educated in ways to stay pain-free and perform better than they did before. It has also been her passion to study the newest research on what it takes to stay healthy and active, and share this knowledge with her patients.
