Evelyn Joo Licensed Acupuncturist and Clinic Director Evelyn is a compassionate and dedicated practitioner with a strong foundation in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (MAcCHM) from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, following a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. With over 1,000 hours of clinical experience in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tuina—including work at the VA Clinic—Evelyn brings a wealth of expertise and care to her patients. She is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine certified by the NCCAOM and licensed to practice acupuncture in Texas. Evelyn’s journey in the field began while she was still a student, serving as a receptionist at AOMA Clinic. Her dedication and leadership led her to take on a managing role, helping guide the transition of AOMA to AIMC Austin. Today, as Clinic Director at AIMC Austin, she is committed to fostering an enriching and positive experience for students, patients, and supervisors alike. Evelyn’s clinical interests center around longevity, sustainability, and women’s health—helping women navigate every life stage with vitality and balance. Her approach integrates traditional Chinese wisdom with modern understanding, encouraging harmony between the body, mind, and environment.
