Meet Dr. Talha Patel, a chiropractor passionate about helping people feel stronger, move better, and get back to doing what they love. His own love for sport and movement eventually grew into a passion for treating injuries and supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. Dr. Talha studied Social Service Work at George Brown College, Kinesiology at Ontario Tech University and York University, and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. His diverse educational background allows him to approach his practice in a holistic manner, with his central philosophy focusing on the intricate relationship between mental health and the nervous system, and the influence this connection can have on the healing process. As a mental health advocate, he believes that healing extends beyond the physical. Our mindset, confidence, and relationship with ourselves can have a meaningful influence on how we navigate challenges, recovery, and overall well-being. For Dr. Talha, prioritizing mental health is an essential part of becoming the healthiest and most resilient version of ourselves. His experience as a personal trainer, combined with a lifelong passion for hockey, basketball, and staying active, has given Dr. Talha a strong foundation in exercise-based rehabilitation. He integrates his experience into his treatments to help patients restore function, build strength, and perform better. In practice, Dr. Talha loves showing people that they are often stronger and more capable than they think. Through a personalized approach to chiropractic care, he uses neurofunctional acupuncture, manual therapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation to safely challenge and motivate his patients, making sure they feel heard and supported every step of the way. Outside the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Talha playing hockey or basketball, lifting weights, hiking and enjoying nature, spending time with his cat, or searching the GTA for a great fried chicken sandwich.
Acupuncture
Neurofunctional Acupuncture is a modern treatment that uses thin acupuncture needles and gentle electrical stimulation to target specific nerves and muscles. This helps restore normal movement, reduce pain, and support healing. It combines traditional acupuncture with the latest understanding of the nervous system, making it especially effective for treating acute injuries, chronic pain, and nerve-related issues. Please Note: Our practitioners incorporate neurofunctional acupuncture as part of a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. This modality cannot be scheduled as a stand-alone appointment and will only be provided within a treatment session when clinically appropriate.
