Angelique is a Registered Acupuncturist, who is offering Traditional Chinese Medicine Modalities and Acupuncture Treatments in a warm and inclusive space for those of us who are moving towards a deeper reality of wellness. Angelique offers an acupuncture practice following a lengthy career as a Registered Midwife. She provided care for families during the childbearing continuum throughout British Columbia and internationally for many years. As she has now transferred her focus to Traditional Chinese medicine, she maintains a deep reverence for the complexity of the womb space - before, during and after the child bearing continuum. She is passionate and knowledgeable about healthy and conscious menstruation, fertility and how our bodies yearn for, grow, hold and birth our babies.
Please book this appointment if it is your first time receiving acupuncture at Lagoon Prenatal. During the initial acupuncture session, clients undergo a thorough intake history assessment, this allows your therapist to understand your medical background, symptoms, and treatment goals. Acupuncture treatment begins with the insertion of thin needles into specific points along the body's meridians, promoting the flow of Qi and restoring balance. Moxibustion therapy, involving the burning of mugwort near acupuncture points, may be used to enhance Qi circulation and alleviate symptoms.
