I have been practicing massage therapy since 2005 after having completed the 3,000 hour massage therapy program in Victoria, B.C. I am deeply curious about the human body and how things are connected. In my treatments I use rigorous clinical reasoning and assessment to get to the root of the issue. Pain can give us great clues for treatment but is not always the source of the problem. With this in mind, I look to the body as a whole when determining a treatment direction. My techniques vary depending on the patient and may include myofascial and deep tissue release, visceral manipulation, neuromeningeal mobilization and cranial sacral techniques. I also have experience with scar tissue release, movement training and homecare exercises. Massage therapy can be used for numerous conditions; pain management, promoting better digestion, post-operative care, creating better movement patterns and learning about how your body moves and functions are a small sample of what treatments can offer. Outside of work, I am the owner of a cute, small (hypoallergenic!) dog (who will often be seen sleeping in the corner of the treatment room), an avid cyclist and cook. I really love learning and have explored classes relating to nutrition, creative writing, poetry, meditation, pain science and exercise. I am also an artist working with a variety of mediums.
