Locust Grove, Locust Grove, VA, 22508
Peggy is one of the elite in her field achieving the highest certifications available, Board Certification through the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks. She frequents regular seminars and workshops, always looking for ways to improve her techniques and skills. Although she happily helps a wide variety of clients ranging from individuals looking for relaxation to those working to overcome serious injuries, Peggy specializes in Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release. Peggy decided to study massage in 2009 when she saw firsthand how much it heals people; it was the only type of treatment that worked for her pain after a horseback riding accident and enduring Fibromyalgia. After her own experience, Peggy realized how much she could help people by providing this type of healing to the community. Peggy graduated with a degree in Massage Therapy from Virginia School of Massage in Charlottesville, VA and is licensed by the Virginia Board of Health to work as a Certified Massage Therapist and Bodyworker. She earned her Board Certification after passing the Board Certification exam, completing 750 hours of education, completing 250 hours of professional hands-on experience, passing a thorough national background check, maintaining a current CPR certification, agreeing to uphold NCBTMBs Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Becoming Board Certified is the highest voluntary credential attainable to massage therapists and bodyworkers in the profession today. Board Certification demonstrates a much higher level of achievement beyond entry level licensure. For this reason, she decided to become Board Certified and it is more than just another credentialits a commitment to raising the standards of the esteemed profession. Her goal is, was, and always will be to continue elevating the standards and practice of her profession and, ultimately, to positively impact society. In addition to running her own massage practice, Peggy has three beautiful children, owns and maintains a small horse farm, donates time to mission work, her local Citizens Police, and RRMRC (volunteer health workers) for the betterment of her community. Peggys business goal is to help improve the wellbeing of her clients, one client at a time and enjoys witnessing their improvement after each massage. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about ways to improve health through diet, exercise and relaxation and shares new information with her clients. She also enjoys horseback riding, gardening, beach walking, hiking, swimming, cycling, sightseeing and spending time with her family.
