Marian is an Osteopathic Manual Therapist and a Registered Massage Therapist in Mississauga, Ontario. Her education started at York University completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with Honours from York University (2005). During these years, she worked as a Certified Personal Trainer. She then went on to obtain a diploma as a Registered Massage Therapist (2008) while concurrently attending The Canadian College of Osteopathy, defending her thesis in 2013. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitoners, and the College of Massage Therapy. Marian has always had a special interest in women’s health specifically the area of obstetrics and gynecology. This led her to her thesis entitled “The Effect of Osteopathic Treatment on Women Experiencing Infertility.” This work was successfully presented and defended in front of an international jury who was very enthusiastic about the results and the future of research on this topic. Since then, she has continued to expand her skill base into the fields of paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, and the area of fertility in both male and female patients through certifications and conferences. Osteopath is a form of manual therapy that aims to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal itself through consideration of the structure and function of the body. It uses skilled manual therapy techniques to assess and treat the human body as a whole. It is considered a complimentary therapy alongside conventional treatment. With now over a decade in experience as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and over 15 years as an RMT, Marian has developed an expertise in treating a wide range of health issues that include digestion health, lymphatic drainage, TMJ dysfunction, headaches, whiplash, post surgery scars release to name a few.
