Hello there! My name is Krystal Presl (Schimes) and I've been practicing massage therapy since 2009 with most of my focus being on deep tissue/constructive massage. Helping clients feel better without medication or surgery has always been my goal. I studied at the Nevada School of Massage Therapy in Las Vegas, NV. The education provided experience in numerous modalities including: Trigger Point Therapy, Rolfing, Cranial Sacral, Shiatsu, Prenatal, and Russian Sports massage. After working in spas and chiropractic offices, working for myself out of my home and offering on-site services allows me to help my clients with some flexibility. Recently, I received my Medical Massage certification which allows me to work with doctors to treat chronic ailments, personal injury cases and alternative care for multiple other diagnoses with effective techniques for specific areas. If your doctor feels that massage would be medically beneficial, they can write a referral for a length of time (ex: 60 minutes) and frequency (3 times per week). With a doctor referral, insurance companies are more likely to cover some, if not all, of the expense for your massage. Some of the common ailments treated with Medical Massage include: TMJD, Migraine Headaches, Numbness/tingling, decreased ROM in joints, Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow, knee pain, plantar facsitis, and many more. I look forward to utilizing my new skills to help relieve your aches and pains!!! Please feel free to ask me any questions.
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
