**Amanda is currently on medical leave.** #Treatment Style Information Amanda is passionate about promoting change and balance within the body. This is why she practices through an osteopathic lens using integrative techniques such as joint mobility, myofascial release, osseous techniques, or cranial sacral, accompanied with some traditional Swedish massage techniques. It's great for chronic pain, injuries, and those issues that others haven't been able to help you manage. She acknowledges this treatment style isn't what you'd find in every standard massage, but she isn't looking to just treat the symptoms of dis-ease - she wants to find the root and help your body integrate and return to optimal function! If you have questions please feel welcome and encouraged to contact the clinic. **(Amanda does not offer deep tissue treatments.)** #About Amanda Amanda grew up in the lower mainland and after post secondary education wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. She graduated from the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in 2007. She worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist and took courses in orthopedic techniques in order to enhance her skills. Upon returning to Canada, Amanda opted to complete the 3000 hour RMT program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster. Since graduating in 2013, Amanda has spent time honing her skills in many different areas of massage, some include sports (injury and recovery), ICBC injuries, prenatal care, PTSD, Biodynamic Integrated Fascial work, and chronic pain management. Amanda believes continuing education is an essential part of being an RMT. She is passionate about being able to help her patients reduce their pain and increase their quality of life. She is currently in the process of completeing a 4 year DOMP program to become a Osteopathic Manual Practitioner! When not treating patients, Amanda enjoys spending her time with her family outside in the fresh air, traveling to foreign lands, doing DIY’s around the house, and growing delicious food.
