After twenty years in education, Melissa became a student again when starting amassage therapy program in 2013 in Albany, NY at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy. Massage has offered Melissa an extension of her teaching career: the ability to work with others for their mutual betterment, and opportunities to continue learning. She enjoys incorporating a variety of modalities and techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissueand Myofascial Releaseinto her sessions to work toward optimal outcomes for her clients. Originally from upstate New York, Melissa has enjoyed the warmer climate here in coastal North Carolina. It allows her to spend more time engaging in some of her favorite activities: spending time with her dog and working in the garden.
