Dr. William Moreau, DC, DACBSP, FACSM, has over four decades of clinical mastery in evidence-guided chiropractic sports medicine, illuminating a distinguished career path. Transitioning from a thriving private practice, Dr. Moreau assumed the helm as Director of Clinics at the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) in 2009. Over a decade, he spearheaded transformative initiatives to enhance medical care standards for athletes. He has now returned to private practice as the CEO of NeuroSport Spine and Concussion Center. In a testament to his extraordinary leadership and impactful contributions, Dr. Moreau ascended to Vice President of Sports Medicine at the USOC in 2017. In this influential capacity, he orchestrated all sports medicine-related endeavors, including providing medical services at the Olympic/Paralympic Games and overseeing USOC Clinics. Dr. Moreau was pivotal in establishing the U.S. Coalition for the Prevention of Illness and Injury in Sport, recognized as one of only eleven IOC International Centers of Research Excellence. Dr. Moreau’s unwavering commitment to excellence in sports medicine extended to his pivotal roles as Team USA’s Medical Director at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. He etched his name in history as the singular Doctor of Chiropractic in the world to serve as an Olympic National Organizing Committee Chief Medical Officer for Team USA at the 2016 Rio Summer Games and the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea. In these esteemed positions, he orchestrated comprehensive medical service lines for Team USA athletes, ensuring their peak health and performance. Furthermore, Dr. Moreau’s expertise as a clinician researcher has garnered international recognition, working with the NFL’s International Think Tank on Concussion Research, and his appointments to the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) Medical Commission in 2017, Professor, Southern California University of Health Sciences and Distinguished Clinical Professor, Emeritus at the University of Western States. Dr. Moreau has produced 71 scientific research works that include six award-winning studies! Beyond his professional accolades, Dr. Moreau is renowned for his dedication to advancing patient-centered, evidence-guided clinical care pathways through integrated multidisciplinary healthcare teams. His commitment to education shines through as an award-winning clinical researcher and his over 435 invited lectures across the globe. Dr. Moreau’s pioneering contributions to sports medicine have garnered widespread media acclaim, with features in prestigious peer reviewed publications and media such as Bloomberg Businessweek, USA Today, TIME, and ESPN, alongside appearances on NPR, NBC, and Kaiser Health News. Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Moreau is an ardent outdoors enthusiast and conservationist.
