Unravel Therapeutics Registered Massage Therapy Inc.

509 Main St, Unit 102, Golden, BC, V0A 1H0

Katie is in her final months at Vicars School of Massage Therapy, graduating November of 2026. She intends to achieve full licensure as a BC RMT in the spring of 2027. She’s pleased to welcome all clients not currently in need of insurance billing while she works towards full RMT status. She’s thrilled to join the Unravel team and serve the community as she builds her practice. Katie grew up just outside of Toronto but has called Golden home since 2008. She’s taken a winding path to a career as a massage therapist but has always been deeply animated by curiosity: about movement, inner experience, and big ideas. She spent her teenage years on the backs of horses, and competitive show jumping was her first movement passion – one that built sensitivity for working in concert with another nervous system, and one that left her with her fair share of injuries and persisting pain. She’s fascinated by pain science and the nuances of rehab and recovery, and the impressive potential we have for healing. Her school practicum experience has given her the gift of seeing people from all walks of life, dealing with all kinds of injuries and physical challenges. Her client-centered therapeutic approach is evidence-informed and leads from the biopsychosocial model and the latest research in pain science. She understands the body as a whole organism seeking homeostasis in all sorts of creative ways, not as a mechanical system, and seeks to harness those self- regulating patterns in a positive direction. She blends foundational techniques tailored to what best suits your individual needs, whether that’s trigger point work, myofascial techniques, mobilization, active release, or deep relaxation. She does not see herself as a fixer, but rather a facilitator, taking cues and listening closely so she works with your nervous system, never against it. She’s a firm believer in the therapeutic power of presence, touch, bodily autonomy, and relaxation, and she loves to provide a safe space for you to be heard, or be silent, and give all your cells the chance to truly exhale. Her goal is to help you achieve a sense of freedom and ease in your body, recover from injury, sleep better, and walk through your days lighter, with less stress and pain. Katie hardly lets a day go by without movement, and loves to run, ski, lift weights, and hike with her family. Her life is a happy tug-of-war between her desire to read and learn about anything she can get her hands on, while acknowledging it’s tough to read and run at the same time.
