I’m passionate about the body’s innate intelligence and approach each case like a puzzle, looking for physical, emotional and energetic cues to my patient’s health concerns and pain. I often give optional “homework” because I love inspiring people to heal themselves. I was lucky enough to receive my first acupuncture treatment before starting college. During the treatment I experienced an emotional release that affirmed a direct connection between areas that felt tight and blocked in my body to emotions that were unresolved. Afterward I felt acupuncture had the potential to work on three or more levels at once: healing the body, mind & emotions together. A seed was planted and my path was pointing toward a career in acupuncture. I began my training at the New England School of Acupuncture and completed it at The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I feel I got the best of both schools, and I’m pleased I was able to study herbal medicine in San Francisco - where they grew the herbs I was studying! I am nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM. In addition I am a yoga teacher (RYT-200), studied Thai massage in Chiang Mai, and the Mukaino Method of relieving pain through movement in Barcelona.
