Dr. Brittany Schamerhorn is a Naturopathic Doctor and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and the founder of Ivy Health Clinic. She is passionate about supporting women through every phase of hormonal changefrom PMS to perimenopause and beyondhelping them go from tired, stressed, and overwhelmed to feeling energized, resilient, and in control of their health. Her clinical focus spans the full spectrum of womens health, including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. With a compassionate and evidence-informed approach, Dr. Schamerhorn helps women who have previously felt dismissed or confused find clarity and confidence in their healthcare again. During your visit, you can expect a thorough review of your health story, a focused physical exam, and relevant lab testing (if needed). Your personalized treatment plan may include pharmaceutical options, herbal medicine, acupuncture, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, or targeted supplementationalways tailored to your unique needs and goals. Dr. Schamerhorn earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute (now CCNMBoucher), where she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award. She is a member of The Menopause Society and a respected educator, having previously taught at the naturopathic medical school in Vancouver and continuing to lecture to both healthcare professionals and the public. She has pursued extensive additional training in hormone therapy, womens health, and lactation support. Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Schamerhorn can often be found outdoors with her young familycoffee in hand and too many books on the go. Having grown up in Kelowna, she is proud to support the health and vitality of her community through integrative, patient-centered care.
At your initial assessment, your Naturopathic Doctor will conduct an extensive review of your health history. This includes assessment of your lifestyle - diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management; along with medical and family history. You will discuss your health concerns, health goals, and your comprehensive plan moving forward. Laboratory assessment will be employed if relevant and physical exams as necessary.
