Dr. Berch Fritz is a licensed chiropractor with physical therapy and dry needling privileges in Virginia and Maryland. Dr. Fritz earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his time at Palmer, he worked alongside Olympians in the school’s rehab department, prioritizing care and management of soft tissue injuries. Dr. Fritz was selected from a pool of candidates across the U.S. to finish his clinical experience with an 8-month rotation in the pain management clinic at the Central Iowa VA Hospital in Des Moines. Here he cared for a wide range of complex conditions presented by our veterans, serving them and providing relief from their pain while assisting them in reaching their personal functional goals. Dr. Fritz attended Iowa State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During this time, he worked as a personal trainer helping clients to achieve their fitness goals. By combining his own athletic experience with his expertise gained at the VA, Dr. Fritz is able to care for a wide variety of conditions. Dr. Fritz utilizes a functional, evidence-based approach to treatment. He will utilize diversified and flexion distraction manipulation techniques to address joint dysfunction as well as myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and cupping to care for soft tissues. During his free time, Dr. Fritz can be found exploring the DMV area’s food and craft beer scene, enjoying the outdoors with his fiance and dog, and cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones.
