Jin obtained his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia, where he also completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology. Jin’s passion for physiotherapy began after witnessing his sister battle chronic pain following a major motor vehicle accident. He was inspired by how physiotherapy and exercise can truly make a difference in someone’s life. Jin strongly believes in patient empowerment and takes the time to listen to each client’s needs and goals in order to develop an individualized treatment plan that supports long-term recovery. Jin treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from everyday aches and pains to sports-related injuries, with a particular interest in shoulder, neck, and lower back conditions. He incorporates IMS (dry needling) as part of his practice when appropriate, alongside exercise-based rehabilitation. Jin believes there are no “small” injuries—regardless of how they occur, he uses the latest evidence-based practices to not only treat pain but also help prevent injuries from re-occurring. Born in South Korea, Jin immigrated to Vancouver at the age of 10 and grew up in Port Moody and Burnaby, where he represented his schools in track and field and soccer. He embraces both his Canadian and Korean cultures and is fluent in English and Korean. Outside of the clinic, Jin enjoys staying active through spikeball, soccer, and neighbourhood walks with his dog, Cookie.
