For Dr. Florez, a career in health was always a natural choice. Born in Colombia and raised in a family that valued an active lifestyle, she grew up immersed in sports. Her early experiences shaped her belief in the importance of health and wellness and this inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology at the University of Ottawa. When Dr. Florez discovered Naturopathic Medicine, she recognized that it perfectly aligned with her values—a patient-centred approach focused on identifying root causes and supporting overall wellness. She is dedicated to addressing all aspects of her patients’ health, considering their lifestyle, nutrition, sleep patterns, mental and emotional well-being, and personal goals. By offering evidence-based, individualized care and empowering her patients with education, Dr. Florez works alongside them to create an integrative plan that leads to meaningful, lasting improvements in their physical, mental, and emotional health.
