Nick completed his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. He currently has over 10 years of experience in the physiotherapy profession. After school Nick was the fortunate recipient of the Glen Sather Sport Medicine Clinic Physiotherapy Fellowship program. For many years he was a part of interdisciplinary teams consisting of orthopedic surgeons, sport medicine physicians and physiotherapists. He appreciates and upholds the incredible potential of working with an interdisciplinary team of skilled healthcare providers. He honed his skills treating all types of injuries and all types of athletes; from weekend warriors to competitive athletes. Nick values patient education, communication and empowerment. He wants to teach you how you can make yourself better, stronger and healthier. He mixes education, exercise therapy, manual therapy and dry needling in his treatment approach. His treatment approach is specifically tailored to YOU and he values YOUR input and background. Nick’s special interests involve treating anything related to the lower extremity. Specifically, his interests are treating knee injuries and pain and lower leg tendinopathies. He has extensive training and knowledge in diagnosing and treating acute knee injuries whether they be operative or non-operative. His caseload involves a large number of patients with injuries of the ACL, PCL, LCL, MCL, meniscus injuries and knee osteoarthritis before and after surgery. Nick is currently a teaching assistant at the University of Alberta Department of Physiotherapy. Outside of work Nick stays busy with his son, biking the extensive River Valley Trail system or downhill skiing in the winter.
