Amber obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992 from McMaster University followed by a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) degree in 1996, summa cum laude. During the past 25 years, Amber has worked in two hospitals; Stratford General and Henderson General (ICU) in Hamilton. She has also provided physiotherapy care to patients in the community, as well as working at private clinics. With her keen interest in women’s health issues, Amber had the opportunity to consult at the new Maternity Centre in Hamilton, teaching women how to prepare for childbirth. Amber is also an authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program of Ontario. Through this government funded program, Amber can assess clients who require walkers. A strong believer in lifelong learning, Amber also completed certification in Medical Acupuncture in order to provide this service in her practice and recently certified as a birth Doula.
