Shawn Barnes

Dr. Shawn Barnes has been in clinical practice since graduating chiropractic school in 2013. He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Master’s in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Western States. Prior to starting his chiropractic training, Dr. Barnes earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Southern California and then spent two years at the University of Oregon taking pre-med courses. Dr. Barnes has specialty training and certifications in Sports Medicine (CCSP), Strength and Conditioning (CSCS), Performing Arts Medicine, and Esports Medicine. In addition to his work for AOE Chiropractic, Dr. Barnes also practices in Salem at Willamette Valley Wellness and also works for the University of Western States as a Sports Medicine Clinical Instructor. Dr. Barnes grew up in southern California and moved to Salem, Oregon the summer before starting high school. After living in Los Angeles, Eugene, and Portland, he and his wife have settled back into Salem to raise their two children and stay close to family.
