Mitchell completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) and Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT) at UBC in Vancouver, where he also worked as a kinesiologist, swim coach, personal trainer and bootcamp instructor. In addition to exercise prescription, Mitchell has special training in Gunn IMS (Intramuscular stimulation), vestibular rehab, concussion management, orthopedic manual therapy and therapeutic taping. Most recently, he has completed a courses for clinical management of the fitness athlete and total spinal manipulation. Mitchell recognizes that no two people or bodies are alike and enjoys helping people optimize their function through active treatment, specific to their needs and goals. He has a special interest in strength training, and utilizes some CrossFit methodology in developing rehab programs.
These sessions will be performed by one of our physiotherapists and can be billed directly to your benefits provider if applicable. You do not need to be an existing patient or have a current injury to book. Each session includes a full assessment as deemed necessary by the practitioner, followed by warm-up and mobility work, rehabilitation or pre-habilitation exercises, and specific strength training tailored to your individual needs or injury history.
