Dr. Matt Nelson holds a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the University of Regina. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2014, obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Clinic Honours. He was also the recipient of the Istrati Family Memorial Award. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in philosophy from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. At the University of Regina, Matt played football for the University of Regina Rams for four seasons. Following his time with the Rams, Matt trained for one season in Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton’s development program. Matt has completed certifications with Complete Concussions, Functional Range Release (FR), Functional Range Conditioning (FRCms), and RockTape. He is a member of the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan, and has worked with Football Saskatchewan as a sideline medical provider. In his day-to-day clinical practice, Matt works with people of all ages and activity levels, recognizing that all of his patients - from the most youthful to the most elderly - are “training” for something. Matt is an active member of Christ the King Catholic Parish in Shaunavon and has served in ministry in a variety of capacities. In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing beer league hockey, writing, and reading. Most of all, he enjoys being a husband to Amanda and a father to four children (Anna, Emilia, Nick, and Lillian).
