Dawn Ham
Kneaded Touch
Provides services in English and ASL Has a service dog in treatment room during treatments. Dawn was diagnosed with Idiopathic Degenerative Hearing loss in her mid 20’s, and was encouraged to find a career that wasn’t hearing dependent. She looked into Registered Massage Therapy, and what she found fascinated her. Dawn is deaf, lip reads and is verbal. She is fluent in English and ASL and uses Brennan, her hypoallergenic service dog who acts as her ears. Brennan tells Dawn when there’s a fire alarm going off or a knock at the door. She usually spends her time at the clinic snoozing under the desk or massage table and sometimes during treatment you can hear her puppy snores and yips when she’s dreaming. If you would like to say hi to Brennan, please let Dawn know as she must wait for her command before she can go say hi to everyone! Registered since March of 2012, Dawn has taken additional courses and certifications in Infant Massage Instruction, Certified Paediatric Massage Therapy, and Scar Tissue Mobilization. She believes it’s very important that people make educated decisions about their own health care and does her best to explain how muscles and the body work in a way that is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or education. In her off time, she enjoys volunteering and supporting the Theatrical and Performing Arts programs, Axe Throwing, and tinkering with her 2003 Jeep TJ.
