AK is a registered physiotherapist in Ontario and the United Kingdom, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from York University and a Master’s in Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, UK. With a background in varsity soccer and volleyball, she developed an early interest in movement, performance, and recovery, which led to her pursuit of physiotherapy. She has gained clinical experience in hospital intensive care, neurological rehabilitation, and pitch-side sports physiotherapy with the Oxford University rugby team, with a strong focus on musculoskeletal conditions. AK takes a patient-centered approach, developing individualized treatment programs tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle. AK takes an exercise-based approach to rehabilitation, using evidence-based methods to support long-term recovery. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through NASM, with over 6 years of coaching experience, using movement analysis to identify and correct dysfunctional patterns to reduce injury risk and optimize performance. Outside of the clinic, you’ll likely find AK weightlifting, swimming, or enjoying a good cup of coffee.
