Dr. Samantha Bell is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. She works to bridge the gap between conventional and complementary medicine. Dr. Sam works to create individualized, comprehensive care plans for patients and has an interest in hormonal health (men and women), reproductive health, dermatology, energy and sleep, stress management and mental health. Naturopathic medicine seeks to identify and treat the underlying, root cause(s) of disease and illness. To do so, it requires time and dedication to truly investigate what’s going on. Naturopathic medicine also works holistically - treating the whole person. By connecting the dots between the mental, physical and spiritual, Naturopathic Doctors are well-equipped to provide comprehensive care. We want to look closer at multiple aspects of your health - in doing so, we’ll talk about things like sleep, mood, energy, diet, lifestyle habits, and stress. It emphasizes prevention of disease and illness. By checking in with your body, you can greater protect the trajectory of your health. A note from Dr. Samantha; In my practice, I work with many women experiencing the hormonal and physiological changes associated with perimenopause and menopause. My work involves supporting women who are prioritizing their longevity, and quality of life as they age. The approach is integrative and patient-centred. I support women as they explore and navigate hormone replacement therapy (HRT) options, and I order additional laboratory testing when further investigation is warranted. I advocate for the safe, appropriate, and effective use of medications and natural health products, while emphasizing adherence and long-term treatment success. I also take the time to review personal and family health histories so that we can identify potential risks and proactively plan for the future. As a result, a significant portion of my practice — working with both women and men — also focuses on cardiovascular health, including blood pressure and cholesterol management, as well as metabolic health concerns such as insulin resistance, prediabetes, and diabetes. This includes identifying and addressing risk factors that may emerge or evolve throughout different stages of life.
