Jonathan brings him the wealth of experience of working for the Toronto Marlies AHL team for the past 12 years alongside the sports medicine team which also included helping the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a player favorite with the teams and actively sought out by them for his progressive approach which involves Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT). NKT is based on the premise that when an injury has occurred, certain muscles shut down or become inhibited, forcing other muscles to become overworked. This compensation pattern can create pain or tightness. By applying light pressure that the client then resists, the practitioner can evaluate the strength or weakness of each muscle, revealing the sources of injury and retraining the client’s body to remove the compensation patterns—reprogramming the body at the neural level. The benefits of NKT include: improved mobility, increased strength and flexibility, reduced pain, and improved posture. NKT is a corrective movement system that can be used to assess and rehabilitate various injuries, including low back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel, and more! It’s a gentle, non-invasive way to get to the source of your aches and pains quickly, efficiently and help them resolve with long-lasting results!
