Tess completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology and Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. During her studies Tess excelled in her ability to see and understand the big picture, while also being able to identify the smaller working parts to various problems. Tess brings this global vision into her practice by utilizing a holistic approach to her treatment. She understands that there are many interrelating factors that contribute to injury and the experience of pain. With this approach she combines hands-on manual therapy techniques with optimal exercise prescription and education to work alongside her clients to develop and progress an individually tailored treatment plan. Tess’ passion for the human body and movement started when she was a young athlete. Tess has played a variety of sports throughout her life, but her one true love is rugby. While at UBC Tess represented the University as a Thunderbird. During her time as a Varsity athlete Tess learned from personal experience the importance of a well rounded training and recovery plan to be able to play her best. As a result Tess is knowledgeable and experienced in strength and conditioning in the gym and on the field. Tess continues to fill her weekend with rugby by playing for the Burnaby Lake Women’s team and coaching for the Burnaby Lake mini rugby program. Tess can’t wait to help you get back to the activity you love.
