On December 23, 2025, I celebrated 10 years as a business owner and licensed massage therapist—answering a calling that could no longer be ignored. Before this transformation, I spent 25 years in corporate America as an IT professional, and I now deeply love the work I do. I earned my A.S. in Business Administration from County College of Morris in 1997, completing the degree over six years while working full time in New York City and traveling the globe for business. I immediately began pursuing my B.S. at the College of Saint Elizabeth, but stepped away in 1999 when I learned I was finally going to become a mommy. Sixteen years later, after a heartbreaking divorce, an awakening disguised as a nervous breakdown, and a chat or two with God, I left the crooked path behind. In December 2015, I graduated with honors from Greenville Technical College and drove straight to Columbia to pick up my LMBT Certification from Greenville Technical College. The next day, on December 23, 2025 - I opened the doors to Awakening Touch Therapeutics. I have never looked back! I approach bodywork as I approach life—with my whole, authentic self. Prayerfully guided, I seek God’s direction before and during each session. I have advanced training and certifications in many forms of manual therapies including MLD (including both pre-and post op care), MediCupping, the Bellanina Facelift Massage, Oncology Massage, Esalen Massage, Active Engagement Techniques, Intelligent Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Myofascial Techniques and Neuromuscular Therapies. I currently specialize in Traditional Thai Massage. This is by far my favorite modality. Thai massage is an ancient and powerful method of healing that combines rhythmic movements, pressure along energy lines, stretching, and breathwork to boost circulation, ease muscle tension, and reduce pain. It supports joint mobility and balance and is suitable for clients of any age or activity level. It is the most holistic modality I have ever experienced. It is like going to an acupuncturist, a chiropractor, a yoga instructor and a massage therapist all in one visit. My husband joined my practice in May of 2018 after also graduating with honors from Greenville Technical College. Together, our practice offers a sacred space to restore mind, body, and spirit. We are honored to support your wellness and self-care goals through a personalized massage experience that promotes balance and well-being. With integrity, respect, and compassion, we meet you where you are and help you awaken your perfect perfection.
Massage
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
Reflexology
This service begins with a soothing foot bath designed to cleanse and soften the feet, improve circulation, and help the body relax. A full Thai foot reflexology session follows the foot bath. During this treatment, specific areas of the feet and lower legs are worked on, each corresponding to different parts of the body, such as the organs, eyes, and sinuses, etc. This process helps to release blocked energy, restore balance, and support the body’s natural sense of well-being.
