Ayshia Lorette, RMT, graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2014. She has experience working with a wide variety of patients including UBC’s Track & Field Team, marathon runners, pre and post natal women, and individuals with neurological, motor, and panic disorders. She has a special clinical interest in working with people experiencing nervous system dysregulation, as well as those dealing with headaches and migraines. As a competitive athlete for many years, Ayshia understands that massage therapy is an integral part of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health. Through Ayshia’s active listening skills, she works collaboratively with patients to create the most effective treatment tailored to their individual needs. Her compassionate and holistic approach to massage therapy blends her therapeutic knowledge with the natural healing power of the human body to create a unique and soothing treatment. Ayshia is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming space for all patients, and proudly affirms and supports LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. She is also happy to offer sensory accommodations for neurodivergent patients whenever possible. If there are adjustments that would help you feel more comfortable during treatment—such as lighting, sound, communication style, or other sensory considerations—please feel free to discuss them with her. Accommodations will be provided whenever they can be done safely and within her capacity. Using light to moderate pressure, Ayshia’s treatment style is fluid, grounding, and calming. She incorporates Swedish relaxation, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and gentle therapeutic stretching. Please note that Ayshia does not offer deep tissue massage. Ayshia also studied Vedic wisdom under the guidance of Yogrishi Vishvketu at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas, where she received her advanced yoga teacher training. Ayshia does not do direct billing but can issue an RMT receipt for patients to submit to their insurers. Payment methods accepted: Credit, Debit, Cash, Check, e-Transfer.
