PrecisionCare Physio and Wellness
Justin Shing, B. Kin, MPT, received a degree in Kinesiology in 2012 from Simon Fraser University. After this, he worked as a kinesiologist and created programs that targeted musculoskeletal injuries and neurological disorders. In 2017, he received his Master of Physiotherapy degree in Australia, at the University of Sydney. There, he worked at a rapid-paced sports physiotherapy clinic and a rehabilitation hospital. Consequently, he gained extensive experience working with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, rheumatologists, chiropractors, and massage therapists. Over the past seven years that Justin has been practicing physiotherapy, his patients have included many with sports-related injuries and motor vehicle injuries. He has also rehabilitated post-surgical patients and helped people with chronic back and neck pain reach their recovery goals. Justin believes that each patient is unique and needs their care customized to their individual needs. He carefully assesses patients to determine the appropriate treatment plan for them, involving his expertise with manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, dry needling (IMS), and other modalities. After your initial visit with him, you shall better understand your injury and how physiotherapy will help you get back to the activities most important to you. Some of Justin’s favourite activities are volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and strength training. Due to leading such an active lifestyle, he has over the years suffered many injuries himself. He knows from experience how effective physiotherapy can be in terms of recovery as well as preventing future injuries. Unrelated to physiotherapy, Justin particularly enjoys scouring the Lower Mainland for good coffee.
