Amanda has been a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2017 and is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. Amanda graduated from Ontario College of Health and Technology in Hamilton and welcomes patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as those wanting to achieve a higher state of wellness. Amanda has a strong focus in women’s health, with a centered approach to perinatal treatments. She has taken specialized courses in external pelvic floor manual therapy & pregnancy massage. Amanda has also taken additional continuing education in sports massage therapy, and can help with various sports injuries, or in preventing injuries. is actively working to expand her education & bring better health care to Almaguin. Amanda’s treatment plans are based on a thorough assessment, goals of the patient, and home care exercises. Her treatment methods include myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and Swedish techniques to maximize the health and well-being of her patients. She is also a strong believer in educating patients about the nature of their condition, how the anatomy works together, and how to optimize their recovery by developing good movement habits and implementing effective home-care techniques. Amanda is excited to treat patients from all walks of life, regardless of gender. She brings an integrated approach to massage therapy.
