Jessica has followed her passion from Mechanical Engineering to Massage Therapy. On the surface, two unrelated fields, but both fields require an understanding of complex systems, root cause analysis, 3D visualisation, physics, full-time geekery, and more. Jessica graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2016, prepared by the best with a dynamic, integrated understanding of human physiology, biomechanics, and neurology. Jessica launched into the field taking every day as an opportunity to learn and further perceive the never-ending puzzle of the human somatic experience. Jessica uses this endless curiosity to help her clients find solutions out of pain, through manual manipulation of their tissue, targeted home exercises, and referrals to other modalities and practitioners. She assesses her client’s movement, and uses direct palpation with her knowledge of biomechanics to create treatment plans with her clients. Paired with concise and compassionate home exercises, Jessica strives to help her clients find a lifestyle of choices that empower them with the knowledge and motivation to keep them independent, and pain-free. She continues her education next with courses in visceral manipulation, and therapeutic touch for children on the spectrum. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys hiking, bicycling, DnD, and kung fu with her family! Although the occasional crafting rabbit hole may consume her, she loves the time outdoors with her family first and foremost.
