Erin Kennedy, LAc, MS, came to the practice of acupuncture after working in horticulture, nurturing vitality in plants and the environment. She was fascinated by the way Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treats human health with a holistic, ecosystems approach, focused on the interconnections between the parts and the whole. She is especially interested in the application of TCM to neurological, psychosomatic and somatopsychic conditions, where it can modulate the mind-body connection to alleviate symptoms and eliminate pain. She has personally experienced the power of acupuncture, not just to heal, but to restore vitality and awaken a deeper self-connection and love of life. Whether treating physical or emotional pain and trauma, or acute or chronic illness, Erin educates and empowers patients to take control of their health so they can achieve their goals and enjoy life without suffering. Erin is a Licensed Acupuncturist in New York and New Jersey, and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She earned a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in New York. Through a clinical internship at NYU Langone’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities, she gained experience working with patients with severe orthopedic pain and neurological conditions. Her continuing education has focused on Chinese herbal medicine, neurofunctional acupuncture, and pregnancy care. She also completed a doula training to better support pregnant patients. Clinical experience has focused on women’s health and fertility, supporting women from menarche through menopause.
