Tidal Motion Physiotherapy
Alex started dancing at the age of 3 and fell in love with movement. She spent her childhood in the dance studio and on the stage, completing ballet exams and performing at local Festivals. She went on to complete a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance at York University in 2009. At York, she eagerly followed her classmates to their physiotherapy appointments and enjoyed studying for her anatomy exams. This love of movement (and anatomy) inspired a career in Physiotherapy. Her treatment style focuses on education and exercise with an emphasis on what you can do at home to meet your goals. She has taken post-graduate courses in pilates and manual therapy and enjoys weaving those skills into her sessions with clients. She is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with training in incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. She currently sits as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Healthy Dancer Canada and is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science.
