Doug is a graduate of the Lancaster School of Massage and a Central PA native. Fluent in Mandarin, he also holds a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine from his studies at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences. Before transitioning fully into massage therapy, Doug spent several seasons working on regenerative and biodynamic farms. This deep dive into ecological agriculture—which focuses on modeling nature, building soil health, and cultivating biodiversity—shaped his understanding of living systems. He views the human body much like the earth: interconnected, resilient, and inherently capable of healing when given the right conditions and intentional care. Doug’s path to bodywork is also deeply personal. While playing Division I-AA rugby at Middlebury College, he sustained two herniated discs. He successfully navigated his own recovery through a holistic blend of movement, breath work, nutrition, mindfulness, acupuncture, and therapeutic touch. Today, these experiences ground his practice, allowing him to hold space for others with true empathy. Doug sees his role as a facilitator for the body’s innate wisdom—using presence, awareness, and compassion to help clients reconnect with balance, vitality, and wholeness. Outside of the treatment room, Doug enjoys gardening, cooking, making music, tending to his growing collection of houseplants, and studying holistic medicine. He loves spending time with his family and exploring the hidden gems and beautiful landscapes of Central Pennsylvania.
