Amanda is originally from a small town outside of Saskatoon. She decided she wanted to be a physio when she saw people on the field helping injured players at Rider games she attended with her grandma. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2006 and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2009, both at the University of Saskatchewan. Amanda has 2 passions in the physio world, sports and vestibular/concussion care. She spent many years involved with the sporting world in Saskatoon while attending university including University of Saskatchewan Track and Field and Wrestling teams and the Saskatoon Hilltops football club. Since moving to Regina she has been involved with the Regina Riot Women’s Football team since 2013. She also spends many hours on the field and at the gym with various high school sports and with Football Saskatchewan Provincial teams. She became interested in vestibular therapy in 2018 and has thrown herself in whole heartedly. In 2024 she completed the competency-based Vestibular Rehabilitation course at the Emory University School of Medicine. She has taken many other vestibular courses from North 49 Physical Therapy in Saskatoon and Bernard Tonks from Victoria, British Columbia. She is also certified in concussion rehabiliation.
