Heather is a dedicated and compassionate massage therapist, Austin native, and a 2009 graduate from The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School where she was trained in Swedish, structural bodywork, myofascial release, sports, orthopedic, and deep tissue massage. In addition, she has continued training in Reiki, Thai massage, Shiatsu, and cupping. Heather is a registered Hatha Yoga instructor since 2012 and has taught local and international retreats. Heather is an MTI and teaches at TLC massage school. She incorporates breath and myofascial release in both massage and yoga. With a deep commitment to holistic healing, Heather specializes in therapeutic massage techniques and modalities designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Heather believes healing begins from the heart always. She believes less mind/more heart, mindful movement, intentional breath, and self care each day drops us into our parasympathetic nervous system where we are able to rest, restore, and heal. Heather believes sometimes it just takes five minutes of breathwork and self care to change the momentum of your day. Drawing from years of experience and a profound understanding of the body’s healing processes, she offers personalized treatments tailored to each client’s unique, specific needs. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, stress reduction, or simply a moment of relaxation, Heather’s approach integrates various modalities to ensure a comprehensive and rejuvenating experience. Heather’s approach to bodywork is intuitive, interweaving therapeutic techniques unique to the client’s needs to get to the root of the “issues in the tissues”. She loves to share practical tools to help clients address their individual needs and move through this world more mindfully and peacefully within their physical bodies. She gets on eye level, meeting her clients where they are at because she wants all to feel heard, loved, valued and seen. Heather’s mission is to create a safe space for all bodies to heal and feel through massage, yoga, and heart-forward thought. Located in the heart of Austin, Heather’s practice is a sanctuary for those looking to restore balance and harmony in their lives. With a focus on creating a serene and welcoming environment, Heather is dedicated to helping clients achieve their wellness goals through the power of touch, yoga therapy, somatic practices, and therapeutic care.
Heather’s approach to bodywork is customized to each client’s specific needs, and each session is guided with emotional presence and deep consideration for the anatomy, nervous system, and body/mind connection as a whole. Her sessions blend Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point, cupping, and breath to relieve pain, improve circulation, rehabilitate injuries, and increase relaxation.
