Dr. Emily is a highly skilled and compassionate chiropractor who graduated magna cum laude from D’Youville College in May 2018 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. Throughout her education, she excelled academically and gained invaluable clinical experience working in both a major trauma hospital and a busy neurosurgical clinic. Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Emily obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Walsh University in just three years. During her time at Walsh, she grew fond of the North Canton community, which she now proudly serves. Dr. Emily’s interest in chiropractic care began in high school when she accompanied her mother to a chiropractic appointment. Her mother, who had suffered a herniated disc after falling through a barn floor while pregnant with Emily, found significant relief through chiropractic care. Inspired by the natural, holistic approach to healing, Dr. Emily pursued chiropractic as a career, desiring to help others the way it had helped her mother. Through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Dr. Emily has completed 250 hours in extensive training in pregnancy, pediatrics, and family care. She certified in the Webster technique to help expecting mothers have the best birth outcomes possible and allow for a more comfortable pregnancy. Dr Emily is also trained in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) which adds in an additional layer to her treatment which taps into the emotional/stress component associated with pain. As an active member of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association (OSCA), Dr. Emily stays involved in her profession and continues to grow her knowledge and expertise. Now living in her hometown of Orrville with her husband, Justin, son, Nolan, daughter Harper and dog, Brady, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. They love hiking, playing sports, gardening, and helping on the family farm. Dr. Emily is driven by the philosophy of Thomas Edison, whose quote, “The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease,” she believes perfectly captures the essence of chiropractic care.
