Dr. English graduated from The Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, completing a double major in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is also a Registered Massage Therapist, having completed 2200 hours in an orthopaedic-focused massage therapy program. Before entering Chinese Medicine, Dr. English spent years immersed in movement. She taught dance and worked as a personal trainer, building a strong foundation in biomechanics, joint mechanics, strength training, and movement pattern assessment , these skills shape how she evaluates and treats patients. Her clinical focus is on head, neck, and jaw conditions, including TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction, migraines, headaches, and whiplash injuries . She also treats anxiety, depression, and digestive concerns . Treatment may include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, ear seeds, and Chinese medicine diet therapy. Dr. English approaches care through a structural lens, assessing how posture, muscle imbalance, movement compensation, and nervous system load contribute to pain and dysfunction. Her combined training in massage therapy, strength training, movement education, and acupuncture allows her to integrate manual therapy with needling strategies for comprehensive treatment planning. Outside the clinic, you can find her cooking, spending time in nature, longboarding, biking, surfing whenever she can get near water, and walking dogs. Despite living on the prairies, she’ll take any opportunity to put her feet in the ocean.
