Nicki's approach as a Massage Therapist is to promote relaxation while incorporating deeper tissue massage as needed. Nicki is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Intra-oral Massage (aka buccal) , to help with TMJ issues. She has a passion for helping others especially when it comes to headache and migraine relief. Her knowledge and skills have led her to instruct at NCMTA where she graduated top of her class.
Massage
A Prenatal or Pregnancy Massage is a full body Swedish Massage (Relaxation Massage) performed by a certified prenatal massage therapist. There are a few modifications with body positioning that can ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.
Lymphatic Drainage
MLD is a soft, relaxing, skin-stretching modality that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the lymph nodes. MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. Therapy is applied to your unaffected nodes first, making it easier for the fluid to move out of the affected area. Please note that MLD therapy can be confused with Post-Op drainage. They are very different and I don't practice Post-Op drainage in my office.
