Shermonte Brooks, DAcCHM, L.Ac., Dipl. OM I believe healing happens best when we look at the body as an integrated system — not just a list of symptoms. My background includes years as a firefighter/paramedic, strength coach, competitive athlete, and now Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. That journey shaped the way I practice today: blending traditional East Asian medicine with modern understanding of movement, recovery, pain science, and nervous system regulation. I especially enjoy working with pain conditions, orthopedic and sports injuries, stress-related disorders, fatigue, mobility issues, and patients who feel like they’ve “tried everything” but still don’t feel like themselves. Treatment may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and movement-based strategies designed to restore balance, reduce tension, improve circulation, and help the body heal more efficiently. I’m passionate about helping patients better understand their bodies and reconnect with the foundations of health through a practical, grounded, and individualized approach to care.
