Hot Stone Massage is a type of specialty massage where smooth, heated stones are used on the body. The stones help to relax the muscles, allowing the massage therapist access to the deepest muscle layers. When hot stone practices are combined with a full body massage, it can provide a very healing and effective experience. Hot stone massage can also help to expand the blood vessels, which can encourage blood flow throughout the body, as well as providing relief of chronic pain, stress relief, and providing a deep state of relaxation.
