Tanya received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2006 and has since developed a tremendous skillset, becoming a Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS) practitioner in 2010 and achieving an FCAMPT designation (Advanced Diploma of Manipulative Therapy) in 2012. In addition to her clinical work, Tanya is an assistant instructor for the manual therapy postgraduate education system of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Prior to enrolling in post-graduate physical therapy studies, Tanya completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge (2002). Tanya enjoys helping clients accomplish their rehabilitation goals and reach their maximum physical potential. Her treatment style is a combination of manual therapy, intramuscular stimulation (IMS) and functional exercise progressions. Her professional focus lies in the treatment of both spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal injuries, with a special interest in return to sport/activity and injury prevention.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT (FIRST TREATMENT)

We will take a detailed history of your problem and perform a physical examination of the area. Once this is complete we will make sure you understand the nature of the problem as well as what treatments would be most beneficial as well as what home exercises would help your recovery.
