Dr. Juan E Torres

Dr. Juan Torres is a licensed Acupuncturist and energy worker in the Alternative Medicine field in the New York City NY and now Mountaintop PA area. In 2010, he began training in Reiki and crystal therapy. He worked with various teachers around the New York City area, achieving his certification as a Reiki Master and Crystal Healing Intuitive in Long Island, New York. It was during this time because of an accident where he fell and injured himself, that he was introduced to Chinese Medicine. In 2013, he enrolled in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, earning his Masters degree of Acupuncture in April of 2018 and afterwards completed his Doctorate in Chinese Medicine on April 14, 2019. In 2022, he began his journey as an Herbalist at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts Herbal Upgrade program and completed the program in August 2023. Juan has had the good fortune and opportunity to treat thousands of patients, both in private practice and at the Pacific College’s school clinic where he exceeded his state clinical requirement of having 250 patients treated before graduating while a student by doubling that amount before graduating from the Masters Program in the Acupuncture program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication and a Minor in Psychology from one of the top business schools in the country Baruch College of New York City and an Associates Degree in Business Administration from The Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City. All of this has allowed him the opportunity to expand his horizons in Business operations, the Eastern Health field of Holistic and therapeutic healing and the corporate world where he worked on Wall Street during the crash of the housing market where he helped keep people in their homes. Dr. Juan has used his experience in the corporate world of helping people and the holistic realm to expand his knowledge base by incorporating facial rejuvenation, energy healing and psycho-spiritual healing into his practice and creating his private practice The E.M.I.A. Wellness Center in New York City. He is also a Certified Reiki Master and Sound Therapist as well. He incorporates all of these healing modalities into his practice to bring you the ultimate Chinese Medicine healing experience Doctor Juan works with patients on medical conditions by addressing several factors within the patients life. These factors include diet, stress management, family, work, meditation practices, personal spiritual development, the surrounding environment and anything that may be creating imbalance in the patient’s life. We work with the mind, body and SPIRIT, most of all, to determine a reasoning for a pathology or condition. Most importantly, we focus on the patient’s individual needs and what needs to be done or addressed to achieve optimal health and well-being, by creating homeostasis and balance within the body allowing the body to heal itself through the tools we use to reach these states of balance. Dr. Juan believes that each person has the opportunity to fully heal if given the best parameters by which to do so. This is Juan’s main goal and that is to be the Doctor/healer that can help you discover your state of true well-being. This has helped him expand his field of work into the Mountaintop P.A. community where he happily provides Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture at E.M.I.A Wellness Clinic in Mountaintop, thus bringing to Mountaintop and the surrounding areas his passion and expertise in holistic healing to our area and providing this community with this form of medicine and healing that we all need and can benefit from.
