Dr. Shaveen Jayalathge “Pain is not a lifestyle” My clicnical interstests include headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, carpal tunnel, facet syndrome, muscle spasms, neck and low back pain maximizing the therapeutic benefit delivered to patients by offering services including joint manipulation/mobilization, MRT, rehab exercises, athletic taping, and orthotics. Dr. Shaveen is an evidence-based Chiropractor. He graduated from D’Youville College receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020 and obtained his Honours Bachelors of Science from McMaster University in Life Sciences. He is currently completing his thesis to obtain his Master of Science in Anatomy. Dr. Shaveen is equipped with extensive clinical and hands-on patient experience having worked within medical centres and sports clinics. He aims to make Chiropractic treatment accessible to a range of patients, from those experiencing everyday aches and pains to more extreme cases dealing with co-morbidities and psychosocial barriers to improvement. He is well-versed in developing treatment plans that maximize the therapeutic benefit delivered to patients, offering services including joint manipulation/mobilization, MRT, rehab exercises, athletic taping, and orthotics. His clinical interests involve the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, carpal tunnel, facet syndrome, muscle spasms, neck and low back pain. Dr. Shaveen recognizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare and believes that most pathologies should be viewed through the lens of multiple disciplines in order to understand and treat a patient to the fullest degree.
A chiropractic initial assessment will consist of a detailed history and physical examination, report of findings and treatment.
