Melanie Chritsofferson, LMT NV 8275 Graduate from Dahan Institute of Massage Therapy, class of 2001. I got into massage therapy by chance. I was 23 yrs. old, wasn't going to school and I was looking for "my purpose" in life. I happen to find a massage school near where I was living and decided to give it a try. If I didn't like it after a month, I planned on quitting. It was the best decision I ever made! I love the different body systems and learning tousemanual manipulation to relieve people's pain. I liked the energy work and I found I was very in tuned with other people's bodies or energies. I knew this is what I was meant to do. And here I am... almost 20 years later, still doing what I love. Over the years I have done my fair share of continuing education. Some of my certifications include: Swedish/Deep tissue Stone Pregnancy Lomi Lomi Sports Medical Massage I love the fact that there are so many different styles and modalities of massage. I have so many more things I'd like to learn and incorporate into my practice. Knowledge is power, and I want to be as powerful as I can be. Other than being a massage therapist, I am a mother and Las Vegas native. When I'm not working, i enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy going to concerts, getting outside, seeing live music, trying out new restaurants and experiencing all the fun adventures our wonderful city has to offer. I hope to see you soon.
