Dr. Petersen recently relocated back to Calgary from Prince George, where she had a busy practice while serving on the BC Chiropractic Association Board of Directors. She has a keen interest in athletics and family wellness-based care. Her specialties include manual adjusting, manual and instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, kinesiology taping, Shockwave therapy, Activator Method and Sigma Pro-Adjustor technique (a gentle non-force technique to improve joint function and decrease pain). Her mission is to help improve people’s health and wellness through evidence-informed chiropractic care and advice. Dr. Petersen began seeing a chiropractor at the age of 15 when she was a member of the Canadian Junior National Luge Team. She found relief from her injuries as well as improvement in her sport performance following chiropractic treatment. This was her inspiration for pursuing a career in chiropractic. She went on to study biological science at the University of Calgary, followed by the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
